Wings, wings, and wings. I love them! They are my absolute fave when done right. One thing I do know is I don’t like them boneless, breaded or messed with too much. I love bright flavors and this one takes the ticket. I saw a recipe on another blog that was very similar to this and thought I’d share mine, I been obsessed with sriracha for a bit , it’s my new hot sauce. I put it in egg salad the other day and loved it!! Yes, classic egg salad , mayo, mustard and sriracha, a lil salt and pepper equals yum!! These wings are sticky and sweet with the just the right amount of heat.
- Approx. 6Lbs of chicken wings
- 1/4 cup of melted butter
- 1/4 cup local honey
- 1/4 cup Sriracha
- 2 Tbs Pondzu sauce
- 2 Tbs of paprika
- 1 Tbs Garlic Salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 Olive Oil
- 1/2 of lemon for juice
- Handful of chopped cilantro for garnish (optional)
Serves 4 Bake at 425F for about 30-35 min.
First thing i do is get the chicken ready for baking. Slide them into a huge bowl, and sprinkle in paprika, garlic salt and pepper and 1/4 a cup of the olive oil. Coat the wings by tossing and place on cookie sheet.
Spread them out so the skin can get nice and crisp. Place them in a preheated oven of 425f for about 30-35 minutes. When the skin is nice and dark in color, take them out. This is where my camera obviously went haywire but I am sure that you know when your wings look delectable even without the sauce yet!
In another bowl while the wings bake, make your sriracha wing sauce. Adding the honey, sriracha, 1/4 cup olive oil, Kikoman Pondzu sauce, 1/2 of a squeezed lemon and melted butter and whisk… making a rich sauce. No need to cook.
When the wings are ready, slide them into a bowl and pour the sauce right over them. At this point, i like to slide them back into the oven on a low broil for about 5 minutes and let the glaze coat over them. Take them out while piping hot, sprinkle with a little Himalayan pink sea salt and cilantro then serve. these are sweet and spicy and delicious and you won’t regret making them again and again. Trust me, you will make them again. Enjoy!!
