New Print Friendly Button

I was visiting my grandmother a few weeks ago and she wanted my thai peanut sauce recipe. Well, I clicked the print button provided and I did not like the version it gave me. I think the printer ran out of paper!  I had to go in and create my own Word document, copying and pasting just to get a version I liked. Could this be how it’s supposed to be done? NO! Web pages usually look terrible when printed, and waste tons of paper and ink. It’s bad for your wallet and the environment. So I went on the perfect print hunt. The hunt for something my followers could use and maybe even love to use when printing! I think I have found that. It is called, Printfriendly.

I have installed the button on every post and when you click this option, it not only gives your the ability to print a cleaner page, but you can customize your prints as well. You can remove the images, create a PDF to save as a file that you can keep and go back to at your leisure, change the text size and even remove text(you wouldn’t do that would you?). Anyway, I hope you enjoy the new Print & PDF button, feel free to let me know how you liked it!

ccfinalSo tonight I conquered a fear! I swore to myself I would never make crab cakes again because my last two tries failed so miserably. Well the crab Gods were smiling on me tonight because these were amazing! I would have paid for these if I had to! Even my husband was like “OK, this is the last try on these.” He got the look on that one from me, but he loved them as much as I did. The seasoning was perfect and I have finally mastered these cakes. So what are we waiting for? Let’s channel clear blue water, cool breezes and these crab cakes in hand. ` Continue reading →

tostada13So I just got back from a car trip… 6 hours in the car by myself and all I could think of was what I was going to make tonight and I wondered if my new Falksalt was in the mail.  Well, half way home, I knew I wanted to try to make my own crispy tostadas out of tortillas, because if they can do that on Chopped(the TV show), so could I! I was not in the mood for ground beef, so I went fajita style for the topping and the cilantro lime cream sauce was just what I needed after this long trip! Oh and my salt was not in the mail, but don’t worry! I will be telling you all about Falksalt very soon, I can’t wait!

mac16 I love macaroni and cheese but I am not supposed to have a whole lot of pasta, so when I do, I always go for the Dreamfield’s pasta. You go for your favorite elbow pasta as I am going the traditional route today except for one thing! I never use egg, I want creamy not a casserole, so follow along to dreamy, creamy, cheesy pasta land with me! Continue reading →

chimichuri4I love steak, yes I do! That’s the only thing that’s keeping me from being a full on vegetarian. Alas, steak always gets in the way. I love it covered, smothered, sliced, diced or just plain in all it’s glory. I had to laugh when the doctor told me my iron was low because it was not for lack of red meat!  London Broil is one of my favorite cuts as it is so versatile. You can cut this for dinner, or for sandwiches and use it in tacos. You name it, this cut can do it.   Tonight, I used a marinade and my chimichurri sauce.  This sauce took it over the top but the marinade was spot on so fire up the grill!
